Default what size wheels???? calling all you fitment experts

hey all, so im putting a bw78 r31 diff into my 86, i havent got it shortened, so it is 60 mm wider.

my rear flares are rusty as hell and i know i wont be able to fit my 15 X 8 -4 superlights on with the new diff and with the current guards.

so im leaning towards some bolt on guards, i have sourced a supplier which can provide me with either 25mm, 50mm, or a staggering 100mm.

just want some feedback as to what size rim and tyre combo to suit either the 50mm or 100mm flares, looking predominantly at superlights and challengers.

any feed back would be appreciated

BTW engine is a ca18det which has made 206.4 rwkw, i dont think 195s will suffice to the grip i am gonna need

origin bolt on rear flares are big enough to accomidate a 8.5j -22 with 195 (using standard T diff) so 8j -34 (adds 30mm from each side of the diff) is only 6mm more poke (each side) than my 8.5 -22 and the origins had a good 10mm left in them.

    footnote:
-15x8-4 (effective -34 due to diff) should fit with origin rear bolt on flares, providing tyres arnt wider then 195/

    Dont use an r31 diff

Use an F or G series.

R31 diff is fine, just get the right wheels. maybe sell the superlights and get better offset ones to suit ure setup.

origin rear flares are 40mm wider than stadard so the superlites would fit perfect with your diff and 195 tyres ive had the 15*8 neg 9challengers with 30mm bolt on spacers on the back of mine
    Owner built and tuned 9000rpm 402kw atw 3sGTE - AE86

still leaning toward to 25mm atm, and run a 8 0 offset with a 195, or as S14seriesII said, hes running a 40mm flare and has had challengers on the back with a 30 mm bolt on and it still clears, how about a 50mm flare with challengers and 205 50 15??, that should work out shouldnt it??
