    Default 4AGE into KE70

    Hi all,
New to the forum and new to 4AGE's. My son and I are putting together a KE 70 race car. He purchased in in bits as as a partly finished drift car we think. The engine is out of a FWD and I need the cooling bits and pieces for a RWD. I have the RWD water pump and alternator bracket. I did purchase the thermostat housing section but it's out of a FWD and is no good to us ( i think). I do need your expert assistance in advising us what parts I need and if anyone has them available for sale that would be fantastic. Looking forward to hearing from you guys.

    Cheers,

    Glenn

Hey and welcome to the forum....

Cheapest is to run the FWD cooling gear.... and fwd alternator bracket / setup... get the mounts off Jordo (ke conversions) and bolt it in onto the ke crossmember. Peddle box wise he can also mod your ke one to suit.

Cut n shut the inlet manifold or buy one from either sc86 or justjdm, extractors best bang for buck are the universal ones kaizen garage sell as well.

    Hi Glenn ,
In my ke70 I just used the ae82 setup for alternator and water pump. I took the FWD remote thermostat housing and plumbed up the cooling system under the intake manifold. For a radiator fan I just run a thermofan.
Is the engine a small port or bigport? For bigport a Jap spec ae86 rwd manifold is best, for smallport you have no choice except to cut and shut (or go 20V quads )

I agree with what Matt said about the Kaizen garage exhaust, I had one a couple of years ago and it was good value for money.

There will be various bits and bobs for the FWD motor, needs a spigot bearing at centre of flywheel, also it will have a hole in the timing cover case where the FWD engine mount went, a lot of people leave it open but I closed mine off.

Depending on the transmission you use (JDM or ADM T50) you will need a clutch line to clear the exhaust. Also you have to put a clutch master cylinder mount on the firewall.
