so i've Finally found whats wrong with my 20v...FINALLY

    2 things
    1. bad tuner is bad and did not have a clue what he was doing! ignition chart was too much all over the shop and engine running way to rich so, fouled plugs very quickly
    2. faulty x4 module! even though i had sent it to microtech for testing and both the lt10s and x4 module 'was fine' i found this out by the people who are now tuning it for me, and i'm getting another x4 on the way

however my tuner has suggested because of where i live i should wire in a air temp sensor on the microtech, does anyone know if a 4afe air temp sensor will be fine?? it should have the right specs i would imagine

Those X4 / X6 boxes are shit house!
I thought that may have been some part of the blame, that why I brought up what I did in other post.
You should be able to use that 4AFE air temp sensor.
I had 13B Mazda ones laying around that I used on 1UZ, worked fine, so I don't see why not.

i dont see the microtech as too bad. ive had an lt10s on my blacktop since 06 n its been great. never given me a hassle. sure it doesnt have the bells n whistles of the higher end ecus but its ok

some people have happy stories with there microtechs i guess

i've yet found MORE problems starting to think is it worth have a 20v?
so i found that my cas trigger somehow had to much of a distance between the trigger wheel and the pick up point i closed in the pic up and it started running better
then to my finding aswell i found cylinder 2 exhaust valves are stuck fully open and seized / rusted in place

Sounds like the motor is half the trouble.
You sure they seized, tried valve saver on them?

yeah it is futo, i am almost tempted to buy another 20v engine.. not as yet i have to make up some long nose pliers with little plates to sit in the collet position so i can actually grab the valves and free them up.. i actually broke a spring retainer in the process of tapping the valves ( i was hoping it would just spring back up) but it snapped in two, so i'm getting 2 sets of new spring retainers genuine in aus delievered to me ...i have been soaking the valves in rost off though.

although the whole valves sticking open isn't that uncommon but it happens to engines that sit around alot - like mine did :/ alot of the old falcons did the same if parked in car lots for a long time

Yup, and you get that valve saver stuff and poor it on them, crank it over and try fire it up, takes a fair few goes but usually does the trick.
But seems like your past there.
