Daniel, you haven't got much response, so I hope you don't mind me asking a related question. I also have a TOYOTA R DOT BLOCK and I was wondering what it signified. Do you know? Anyone? I believe my block is from an JDM RWD 4AGE big port.

Hey guys,
i have some 4age 16v engines and parts from old rally cars.
I have a few pistons here, just wondering if some one can identify them?

Theyre mahle pistons,81.15mm diameter. look to be forged. 18mm pin (to suit a floating pin/rod)

Theyre mahle pistons also, 81.06mm diameter. forged aswell i think, 18mm pin same as above,
Came in a TRD piston set box, labeled group A rally pistons.
The block i got with this was a brand new ae86 3 rib block, got the box from japan it came in!
Has a good condition Toyota Group A 40mm crank, is not a TRD item.
Next motor, has a TOYOTA R DOT BLOCK. 7rib, no oil squirters. Bigport head with a mint port job, 288/9mm cams, ran on carbs etc.
Crank and rods are early bluetop, but the rods have been machined to take a 20mm press fit pin,
The pistons are toyota pistons, oversized 0.5mm. Theyre flat top and look like they mightve had a teflon coating?

Apparently running around 13:1 compression.
Has anyone got any info on these? Also any info about the group a motors would be good.
Thanks
Daniel
I think i got the layout ok.

Hey, nah its allgood man. What does yours say where the block numbers usually are? (like 4a, 4082345 or something like that)
Im not too sure, i thought theyre blocks that werent factory fitted to vehicles, but were purchased from toyota as a reinforced block? being 7 rib. Im really not too sure..
Looks just like an engine number to me: 1364123
Ahh ok, my r dot block has no numbers on it, It just says 4A, and thats it.
