Thats why it's negotiable![]()
See the benefit of owning something and putting it up for sale is you can price it however you like.
You can't buy new Toyota gear sets for that much, maybe Weir ones but they're nowhere near as good as genuine Toyota.
$350 is a fair price and he says its negotiable.
what are differences between OEM and Weir?
Casting metals are normally of a higher grade for oem normally for longevity of parts. After market companies hardly ever exceed oem specs for things like gear sets and diff related items.
That's my understanding of it. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
check out my build thread: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/fo...-shuttle-wagon
you cant get an OEM 4.778 final drive for T series, unless you call OEM TRD, in which case they haven't been made for a long time.
The Weir sets are great quality.. and you would see no difference in performance and reliability (if used in the correct application) between them both.
I dont understand why you want to sell it though if your saying its still useable?
maybe post some pics so buyers can see what your talking about, might help you a bit
i beg to differ twice.
You can get 4.778 new from either toyota or trd but they are not cheap.
And i hated the weir one
Mine was never good, got so tired of it its in the bin somewhere ...
Was setup by the toyota rally guru and he said they were not good so ...
Also this isn't a discussion thread its a for sale thread.
