You cant use the belt to time it. It will be off or u could break things. Ive read a porsche 955 belt works great.
But u need to time it urself
dont hate on this thread but im trying to get a timing belt to suit my 7age iv looked at every build thread but cant use any part number to locate the right belt can somebody give me a a part number and brand that will work and not be to wide for the 16v timing gears

Yeah ive just read up on a build for it. The timing will be different orr off compared to the 7afe so u need to figure the timing out.
I dnt know how you would do this really. There was a guy who timed it himself and said after a few drives hitting over 7k rpm he broke his engine somehow.
Just google hard. Read builds. Pay for a tune. Idk up to u to figure out. Ill be doin mine in a year![]()
i can time these things with my eyes closed lol yes the Porsche belt works not the counter balance belt the timing belt from the Porsche 955 my 7a was very easy to do im in cronulla if you need help pm me

BT20v is making 300rwkw like i said i would without nitrous so now its time for some spray and see if she will run a 10s or less
i just got this quote from the thread "building a 7age" in tech articles "t107 belt, 924 porsche" i cant remember wicth one i used and i cbf going through over 100 pages of my build thread but im pretty sure this will work it did for robo
