Default Haltech v Motec engine management on a 3sge

looking at option for the management on my sprinter rally car with a beams motor. I want to use the digital dash disply to have all the engine warning alerts on it , both Motec and Haltec seem to have good display units.

Which is easier to use/tune with
what model/ package would people recommend
    whats best value for money

Tuning is tuning, once you understand the principals you pretty much can tune any ecu within reason. Motech support is pretty good, they aren't as exy as they used to be either.

The ps1000 on the beams would be my ecu of choice from haltech. I have a mate who asked me today if he knew anyone that would be interested in his ps1000 + racepack dash.

Value for money the adaptronics are great, especially when u get a plug n play loom from anthony @ kaizen. Feature wise they have most of the bells and whilstles the haltechs do.

Would you be tuning it yourself or paying someone? And additionally are you doing the wiring as well?

If you're willing to spend the money, go Motec. The data logging software (i2) is awesome - makes trouble shooting and diagnostics easy.
You would probably get away with the m84 Ecu and one of their dash loggers. There are plenty of good authorised dealers too. If you're in Brisbane i could recommend a few.
