ill be wow'ing when its done... cant wait for more power
thanks mate, i didnt take them though lol, the one out side the P.O is a great pic i think
not sure what the compression is as i havent seen the engine or got many specs, from what i know its a high comp 5sfe block with a gen 3 head and has argo rods... ill be putting my head on it and doing all the work to that as the ports on the beams are bigger stock than what a gen 3 head is when ported to near its limit
as for the quads manifold, im not sure if the new engine has one i can chop up and mod or if i have to start one from scratch, i can get my uncle to do it for me as he works with heads everyday of the week and has every alloy fab tool under the sun
thanks mate, its pretty well looking how id like it atm as far as stance goes though ti could be lower in the rear and needs a reaspray bad
looking very forward to the new engine, may get it rebuilt just incase as it was bought in a IPRA race car and he had to pull it out to put it in the under 2000cc class so it hasnt done much work but better to spend the 400-500 it costs to put rings and bearings through it than thrash it and fuck something up
but yeah should have the new engine after clemos next race meet as hes gonna pick it up then so it gives me a little time to throw some cash in the savings for it
in saying that i should have a gen 3 3sge head on a 30-40000 kms bleams bottom end for sale after all this, try making a bit of money back after buying it all
I know that feeling, I swapped nearly every thing in my car, so I got shit every where, I'm just cautious about selling it while it's still in pieces in case I need some thing.
I'll think about the 3S, but I've already got heaps of parts ready for my 4A.

he had it up forsale a while ago
HAHAH I LOVE BOOST LOOSING!!
iv done my research and welding the suspension solid seems the be the way to go for sliding purposes
hes talking bout the engine sonny
yeah well ill be updating in here when the engine arrives and i start getting it put together n stuff
so you are going to put a beams head on a gen 3 bottom end .good luck as the valve angles are all different and if the pistons are hi comp they will hit the head and valves where are you going to get the oil pressure from to run the vvti as the beams block is unique ,its the only 1 that has the extra oil gallery built into it sounds like you are wasting money for the extra 200 cc and it wont rev as hard either or if it is 1mm oversize then its 2045cc .if it is a 5sfe crank ,which are cast they use balance shafts which take power and wont rev
good luck
now with 190 kws at the back wheels with 8 injectors
no im putting a beams head on a 5sfe block that has a gen 3 head on it at the moment
yager performance seems to build a few of them
unsure on if he keeps the vvti working though
clemo just put a beams head on a worked gen 3 bottom end also but i know for a fact he doesnt run vvti
to be honest i havent looked heeeaps far into it, though ive heard of it being done, anymore info would be appreciated
ive been told putting the stroker crank and short rods in the 3sg block make it less "revvy" also
beams motors have cam pulleys 5mm apart the gen 3 have the cam pulleys 25mm apart,
also have flat top pistons with a 33cc combustion chamber
gen 3 have a dome piston 10.4 to 1 and also have a 48cc combustion chamber
both motors have different valve angles beams you can put up to 14.5 mm of lift in them
the 3sge 3rd gen 12mm max
if i were you just keep the std motor as is unless you need a quad throttle inlet as i have 3 left and bolt up some black top throttles onto it and do a retune
