beams motors have cam pulleys 5mm apart the gen 3 have the cam pulleys 25mm apart,
also have flat top pistons with a 33cc combustion chamber
gen 3 have a dome piston 10.4 to 1 and also have a 48cc combustion chamber
both motors have different valve angles beams you can put up to 14.5 mm of lift in them
    the 3sge 3rd gen 12mm max
if i were you just keep the std motor as is unless you need a quad throttle inlet as i have 3 left and bolt up some black top throttles onto it and do a retune

whats a manifold worth to fit blacktop throttles???

as ill whack the money for this 5s to that and some cams

you seem to be fuckin cluey with theese beams engines, so pop quiz

whats the highest duration and lift i can run while retaining vvti???

noone ive asked can seem to answer ( cam shops)

also seems that a local friend has a rather cheap set of ae111 quads

win win.... tax money is coming your way celicaRA45

my inlets are 600 plus 20 dollars postage to your door
im using 13mm of lift but i cant use the std movement on the vvti as i have to get them modified to move 10 cam degress of movement on inlet and exhaust std they are 26 degress each
my other motor has 540 thou lift but you need to machine the head to put bigger buckets in and also the head for the cam to turn this still uses 10degrese of cam movement as well
both these motors are 13.5 to 1 comp thou

alright, im goin to work tonight, gonna hassle them for a group certificate, and i should have all my tax money in the next fortnight

do you need a deposit to secure me one??? or just wait and pay it in bulk???

i was thinking of just using very close to stock duration with a fair amount of lift
but being a street car running on pump premium everyday ill only want a slight CR raise to something like 12:1 or 12.5:1

so might just do the quads and a compression raise and keep it reliable

also talked to kelford camz in NZ yesterday and they say they fill in the ports on the beams for n/a applications as the ports are fucking huge, u even heard of people doing such things??? has something to do with intake velocity

but yes 1 of those manifolds is mine... i shall pay as soon as tax comes back and can pay deosit if u like

    cheers

i use a 5 speed box so it was done in 4th which is 1 to 1
ok 13.5 to 1 forged pistons, forged longer rods ,billett cams with 13mm of lift .bigger valves for inlet and exhaust complete port job with some vvti
50mm quad throttles with 365cc injectors inboard and 1000 cc out board so 8 injectors in total trd extractors and a 12 liter air box and last a m800 motec to run the whole show
on all of my dynoes it is done in 4th with a 4.3 diff ratio and 205 x 50 x15 wheels
