If he can do it, he will do it. No one is calling him names or anything too negative. Simply providing rational and reasonable options and educated suggestions. Thats what a forum is. If people dont want opinions dont put things on the internet. If people want help ask specific questions.

It is also about being mature and knowing what your talking about before suggesting.. If you read the whole thread you will find that the whole "don't use that motor" has been covered. And that he doesn't really care for what other people think he's choosing to do in a negative way.

You have no right to tell him to do what he is otherwise. You have also not answered any questions he has asked nor given any productive advice of achieving what he is attempting to do.

If I must say again.. This bullshit is killing any chance of people having a sense of individuality.

If you want opinions, put me the the OP's shoes and I would have told everyone who says its the wrong choice to pull their head in or not say anything at all.

What I cant understand, is why threads like this, get so many people making the effort to make negative responses, while there are so many threads with good builds going on, that never ever hear a word of encouragement from anybody........

Some of us are not being negative, just merly giving some advice, it needs to be clarified that advice is simply that, its not the same as drawing a line on the ground and saying walk exactly on that line, its more saying your target is "over there" you might want to think about staying between the 2 trees.
there were some "bait words" in the 1st post that are no longer there, which i think triggered the responses along with the specified use of the car..
The thing i really dig, is the Japs that yank the Rb motor out of a skyline and replace is with an SR.

by all means im in no way telling you what to do, if you have any questions im more then willing to help you, but with this conversion, and its intended purpose, you will need to do a bit more thinking about everything you do.

and in the end of the day, if your going to compete in anything, power is nothing compared to weight reduction.

    good luck,
