Great videos to watch
Nice!

Personally I've had much better results with a coarse sand paper like you said (cross hatched ofcourse) then slap on the paint stripper then cover it all up with cling wrap, takes half the time.
Gases stay trapped under the wrap and aid in lifting the paint

Man if i had my time again i would but a stock as a rock 86 or 71 with 4ac and do one mod at a time and take it to the track to see what it did, might still do itbut ye good platform to start with and dont get all perfectionist on it (taking off rear wing coz its not hella flush, trying to buff out light scratches on side windoes) obviously do stuff that needs doing but its like 30 years old and its never going to be perfect no matter how much time/money u throw at it just drive it and enjoy :V
excellent job guys, love the video diary. keep it comming.
P.S. THE best mod i did to my 86 was to replace all the suspension bushes with prothane ones, u can get compleate kits on ebay for like 150 delivered from usa. super pro bushes are slightly better but will be like double the price. I suggest u get the car going and go for a few "spirited" drives before swapping so u feel the difference its massive
I agree with Laurence about a couple of things but that wing was terrible.
Better to have a running registered car that you can fix along the way then something that sits on car stands swallowing your funds. Still you can make it perfect regardless of age, put in the effort and reap the rewards.but yeah regardless if it's a shitter or mint as it's still a great car

Just speaking from my own experiance, i geuss my expectation of "perfect" is a little unrealistic as perfect for me is stripping every nut and bolt, windscreen out, sodablasting entire car, polish all glass, new bolts/nits, full rebuit engine etc etc, it used to get me down not being able to do thing "perfect". Mabe one day i will when im old and have a shed full of every machine i need but i learnt to just let it go drive and enjoy it
true, seeing what your idea of perfect is i'd have to agree it'll never be perfect![]()
