Thought early coronas where wish bone witchery.
Hey Guys
Just wanting to know some things, i have been looking in to lowering my ae71 and doing this by using :
Xt130 struts with ajps coilover kit
Xt130 brakes/hubs
ra40 tie rod end's
ae86 camber tops
and so on..
My mate told me he was selling is RT104 and I was wondering if i could replace xt130 with rt130 so it would be rt104 struts with ajps coilover kit breaks hubs and the rest the same would it all bolt up and work? cheers

Thought early coronas where wish bone witchery.
everthing untill rt130 series were wishbone front ends
RT104 DONT have struts mate.... They have a double wishbone front suspension setup. (ie, not a mcpherson strut)
XT130 brakes are nothing special, still a solid disc, but would be fine for a standard car..... Most people use the XT130s so you can do proven bigger brake upgrades, eg Hilux/peugeot/Xt130 combo......

With xt130 lca? Cheers guys sorry again I didn't realise.
You will be limited by shock options if you use AE71 struts (unless they are panelvan struts, which are the same as AE86)

Yeah seriously just go AE86 struts and brakes, they will be good enough for what you need
Why dont you just use the proven setups. Will cost you less, and you know it works..... Not having to source random parts too

Yeah I was going to use xt130 but I was told by a mate I could have hit corona so I just asked... I will use proven set ups like xt130 stuff or ae86, I was told with 86 stuff it throws out your caster..?
no it doesnt
and dont coilover your ae71 struts
