Howdy folks, have a '85 RT142 Corona Avante sedan for sale, 271,000 kms, white paint, blue interior.
22RE EFI 2.4ltr 4cyl, runs well, blows zero smoke, no coolant issues, has usual small oil leak and small amount of timing chain noise, pretty normal for these.
W55 5 speed manual box changes well, no noises, clutch works well, shifter bushes a bit worn apart from that its GOOD
Fitted with a live axle, borg warner disc brake diff, not noisey, these are the rear brakes that everybody grabs to fit to T&F series diffs, getting harder to find nowadays...
Car asthetically could use a little love, bootlid is a lil dented, mainly on the upper skin, not rear ended, gutter chrome moldings are a bit screwed up, but overall its not bad, likewise the interior could use a bit of a clean, but is all there and certainly no dog kennel...
Walk in rego in S.A. last regod 2 weeks ago, old owner parked it coz he replaced it with a new more modern car, was an older person, not likely to have given it much grief
Pretty cheap for one of these, just need to clear it out, have no space unfortunately
