So i have read about boosters, and the cluster mod, but i need some advice on what will most likely make the factory tach work.

Its a 1G, Haltech with no tach output, Multiple coil/ wasted spark (i think, assume).

I bought one of those Digital Dakota tach signal converter boxes which has given the tacho some life. But its slow to respond to rev's and only reads up to about 4 or 5k rpm. Am i on the right track?

I realise that i need to modify the pulse because of the 6 cylinder, but also realise that the factory tach needs high voltage or spike? i just dont know how to make that all happen.

Currently i have 3 ignitor wires joined into 1, then some sort of diode then into the tach signal converter. is this the best place to be taking a tach signal from?
