^Agreed. Simple, but look strong and effective.
Quality work on this. Really dig it.

Wish I never wasted my time with an X8. X7s are where it's at.

3" is a bit over kill, but it will work. Hot side is 2.5" and cold is 2.75".

What's the plan of attack for pipe route?

    Thanks Ben and Blake.

the cooler is strong and incorporating the mounts into the bonnet latch means i still incorporate the rigidity needed for the latch.
took no time to knock up and im pretty happy with how it all turned out.

all the cheap intercoolers come with 3" outlets marv... must be just cheap manufacturing or something.

So the idea is, the turbine outlet pipe is like you said 2.5", so ill be keeping it 2.5" all the way to the cooler..
Ideally.. i would have liked to go up to 2.75, but the way i have chosen to route the pipes allows me to squeeze in a 2.5" pipe down the side of the air box, near the inner guard on drivers side.
its not making big numbers, so its plenty big enough.. 3" in just overkill.
i want it to be as responsive as possible... less volume to fill and no restriction is what im going for.

The only option to run a bigger hot pipe is to cut the inner guard and run in inside the 1/4 panel... but i just dont want to cut it at all.

the hot side will be stepped up to 3" at the cooler with a silicone joiner 2.5 - 3"

The cold side, im using 2.75" tube
if you know what the intake side of the Jzx100 cooler pipe looks like, its pressy much exactly the same.

tight radius S bend off the TB, straight down, 90' bend toward the headlight and a 135' bend around and straight into the cooler.. again a step up silicone jointer 2.75 - 3"

all made from ally mandrel bends, Tig welded and painted black... later ill get them anodised.
Black silicone and T bolt clamps painted black.

    really chasing the OEM look.

    Annnnnnnd..... Gone!

Dadaa.. Still there, great illusion ain't it

I blacked out the section behind the front apron, hides the cooler a bit better.. Still tossing up if I should paint it black or not....

    Thoughts?

    Sounds good! Coming along nicely.

I threw mine under the rad support as I didn't want it seen from outside, 2.5" pipes and cooler for less lag.
