    Default How does it even move? Carina v barina

    Saw this;

    How in the eff does it even drive? I mean a ke with a big port is slow enough as it is, without adding proper sized rear seats and a boot that can actually carry more than a bag of potatoes...

    Has anyone driven one of these or even a celica with that running gear? How does it move?

    Actually, they're not that bad. They still come in under 1,000kg and would be about the same as a JDM AE86 with one passenger. I went over to Japan to buy one last year but couldn't find a good one at the time so I bought my car instead. I'd still own one though, they're very cool, especially as a wagon. They did come out with the 3T-GTE twin spark turbo'd engine but I was chasing a 4AGE version.

    They still perform.
    I see dumb people. Driving around like regular people. They don't see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're dumb.

    Yeah a cool car for sure, and to be honest, I seriously expected around the 1300-1400kg mark, seems like a much bigger car

    Biggo on here had one with a 3sgte, he was selling it for a very fair price too, would've loved to have picked it up, can't be too many in the country.

    Yeah ok. Good to know they are still peppy without being overly sluggish.

    How much we're you expecting to pay 85kai?

    I found one for sale in Brisbane with a 4AGE a little while ago. I can't remember how much but it was the only one I've seen for sale here.
    I was looking at spending about ¥400,000 on the purchase price of the car in Japan.
