Mine is with nrma classic comprehensive insurance. Car is 30 years old, drives less than 5000km a year and I have a daily driver. 13k agreed value and it costs about 300 ish a year.

I'm only 23 and I'm insured with Shannons? And mine's insured for 18k agreed value. Might be down to the family being insured with them pretty much since they started though.

Shannon's knocked me back for my age too. And probably because I have just turned 20 and have lost my licence once before. Oops. My family are insured with RACQ but I had a massive argument over the phone to them because they said they didn't have a listing for an "AE86". They only had a listing for an "AR86". I told him it was a mistake in their system but he refused to agree. Bloody cumstain he was. So I just went with suncorp instead.

Seen that listing on dumbtree, had a good laugh. I tried to insure my 86 with justcar when it was registered, they would only insure for 10k because of my driving record. they asked me how many times I have been disqualified from driving which was replied to by me laughing. they said it doesn't matter if I had a Ferrari they would only insure it for 10k because of previous disqualifications on my licence non of which were for speeding or hoon. all from defects and no P plates.

Just car offered me 15k which I thought was pretty good considering at the end of the day my car is just a modified adm and will never be worth as much as a proper jdm 86.
Went with shannons in the end. Was cheaper and I get salvage rights
