History:
It has been suggested that this car was first prepared by TRD for the cup series back in the 80's. This is based on the types and placement of bracing through out the body, it is a very stiff shell. Unfortunately there is no documented proof it was. It was raced by the previous owner in Japan in various N2 catagory events.
Since having it here, I took it to the Pittsworth Street Sprints within a week of it arriving. 2nd in class and very overstear in nature. I have spent a lot of time getting the suspension setup sorted. It is now a class leader and very competitive car, results are;
Pittsworth, 2nd in class, 55.62
Qld Super Sprint Championship 2nd in class
Noosa Hillclimb,2nd in class, 15th outright, 62.85(lost to the national Champ by 0.02sec)
scma series @ Carnell raceway, 1st in class, 3rd outright, 36.2 (4 round series)

Lakeside Sprints, 61.2
Morgan Park A Super Sprnts, 1st in class(4 round series)
Gatton Street Sprints 1st in class, 40.3

check out my build thread: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/fo...-shuttle-wagon
The clutch was starting to slip a little off the line, so it is out to get reconditiond at Jim berrys this week. Next outing is to the Pittsworth sprints on the 14th and 15th, just in case anyone would like to see it in action.

Great vid, helps when you can drive too impressive results, tight track & as said sounds great & appears to steer very well too ..Why are selling it ??
I have 2 other major projects on the go that are comprting for time and space. Dont get me wrong, I love driving this thing, its a weapon, but with a Group A rally ae86 getting restored and a 2A logbooked R33 that is getting an overhaul as well... there isnt much spare room in the shed. The levin is at a point where I have had a lot of fun driving and getting it back to where I imagine it was a few years ago as a workshop car racing in Japan. There isnt much more I can give to it, Its time to pass it on for someone new to love.
If it doesnt sell, I might have to finish the process and register it. It would be a fantastic Sunday mountian drive machine.
I have run the car a few times in the last few weeks. I finished off the Morgan Park Super Sprint series, winning the 0-1600 class at every round and placed 9th outright for the series.
The Qld SuperSprint titles on over the weekend and picked up first in the 0-1600 class.
Noosa Hillclimb is comming up on the 9th-10th of November, this will be the last event I plan to do in the car for a while. I have found a pair of clean ADM side intrusion doors that Im preping to go on after Noosa hill with a set of new std seatbelts ready to complete the Import/Registration compliance process. If not sold I will register it for Christmas :-)
Sat Dec 21 is a sponsors ride day at Qld Raceway. I have a few people who have helped this car come together over the last year coming for some laps. Like wise, For anyone looking for a first hand look and feel, I can organize this for you too. PM me to register your interest and Details of the day.
