Resister for injectors
As above I'm just trying to work out what this part is and what it does to see if I need it at all?
I no it belongs to a 4age 16v but not sure what car it came out of![]()
Resister for injectors
Is it needed?
Yes, depending on ecu and injectors.
Hmm okay cos I never got one when I got my loom and engine do you no what models need it by chance cos mine is a 1987 ae82 4age 16v bigport motor it's got that blue sticker on the ecu and my injectors are standard there a grey/bluey colour
Sorry that is the model or corolla that my engine and loom came out of
Late model Ae82 with pink injectors

Okay so if I've got this right it goes
Early ae82 with 16v 4age has blue/grey injectors and no injector resistor module and map sensor!
And a late model ae82 with 16v 4age has pink/red injectors and has the have the injector resistor module and runs an afm!
And I read somewhere that by doing a resistance test on your injectors it can tell if you need the injector resistance module
I think it goes:
high ohm (10-14 OHM) injectors don't need the resistor module. Ie early model ae82
Low ohm (2-4 OHM) need the injector resistor module. Ie Late model ae82
Does any of that sound right?
