    Default 4AC Head on 20V S/T Block?!?!

Hey guys, recently my car got defected for having a 20 Valve motor in my KE70, and I cannot get it over the pits as it has too much powahhh, therefore it has to be certified by an engineer, which is a minimum of six weeks before anyone can come and sign off on it. However it is legal to have a 4AC in there due to the fact they came factory with them. I'm just curious, has anyone tried putting a 4AC head on the Silvertop 20V block?? I know it sounds stupid but it would be super cool if I could get away with it without having valve clearance problems! Then they will record the 20V engine number off the block and I won't need any engineering if I get defected again!

Dont know what your states rules are but in vic the brakes have to be the equivalent of the motor your putting in meaning get good brakes and you should be able to get it engineered providing everything else is good.
Dont get me wrong a head swap like you mentioned sounds cool and all but wouldn't you rather keep the 20v and all etc

Yeah dude, I have no problem with the brakes and stuff, it's just the time period before it can be certified (minimum 6 weeks) as I need a vehicle now haha! And I'll likely be getting it engineered with the 20 Valve anyway for insurance reasons but for now I just need it to get around!

Smack a 4ac in until 2 days out.

Also give you time for maintenance on the 20v

That was my original intention, only the 4AC needs a headgasket, so if I was lifting the head, may as well smack it on my 20V so it's win-win for me, (engine number + legal 4A wise).

My ghetto build thread is here:

Change the crank, rods and pistons in and I can't see why it won't work

Pfff may as well just die grind some flycuts into the 20V pistons

Will probably just do a 1 day motor swap, get it running and take it over pits, then apply for an engine number change shortly after
