    Default Tuned length extractors

Whats pretty sweet off the shelf?
Looking to get some more power out of my 16v, figured best place to start would be exhaust.

Currently have Kaizen TRD Copies and a 2 1/4" exhaust

These bad boys look pretty sweet

and for sub $500 delivered it seems like pretty good bang for buck

Whats everyone else got that seems to be working well?

Ill be the first to admit I'm no exhaust expert, but while they claim to be mandrel bent it looks like the tubes in the set linked are deformed in the bends. Also I'm not a huge fan of the collector design or the welding inside the #1 primary and collector. So I'd be surprised if they are much better than what you have currently.

I was also about to mention a blacktop KE25 racecar out of Melbourne that made 123rwkw on the stock cast, RWD exhaust manifold, but my memory is sketchy and I can't find any more info about it, so I may be mistaken. In any case I'd guess there are better places to focus for more power.

From what I can gather from the American guys using them, the fitment is a bit average. The collectors don't look all that good either. I would say you'll get a much better result from getting a set made, or try and find a set of second hand stepped TRD headers as they have larger secondaries and 2.5" for the last section. Stepping up to a well made 2.5" exhaust would help also with top end power.

Have been looking into headers/extractors lately myself. I tend to agree that you won't gain much compared to the Kaizens by going to the CX Racing pipes.

FWIW the group A cars made 200hp (supposedly) through the stock cast exhaust manifold. A mate has genuine TRD extractors on his 4agze rally car and has been told by a couple of exhaust places that there isn't really much to be gained from changing them (not sure which model TRD extractors they are sorry, could be the 2.5" collector models mentioned above)

4-2-1 extractors should have 1-4 and 2-3 merge. Those CX ones look cool, but that's about all they're good for. They have 1-2 and 3-4 merge; factory ae86 headers would probably work better.

Factory ae86 headers would definitely work better then.

Just have a really good fabricator make you some 4-2-1s.

And jordy those headers only look good because of the coating, the cheap squashed type mergers look heinous, same as the welds
