Hmm, okay, anybody know any good places to buy merge collectors, they seem pretty pricey from what I have found, which isn't the end of the world, just being a tight ass

I was looking at doing some extractors for my old ae86, I got halfway through making the merge collector and lost motivation.

There are quite a few decent looking ones on ebay actually, decent looking quality but I dont think there is much choice on the merge length if youre picky...

to have nice usable power a 4-2-1 design is really the only option though. 4 into pipes give a little more top end for a big bottom end compromise.

not true what you say sam ,if a 4into 1 set up is done properly will make more torque and hp every where before the 4into 2 into 1 makes torque and power

I'm about to make or have made an exhaust manifold for my 3SGE (generation 3 not BEAMS) so I'm following this thread pretty intently.

I'm generally following 4AGE manifold discussion though as there is more info out there for the 4A, am I wrong in doing this?

Not trying to derail this thread just didn't really have anything to add but wanted to get a little more info without making a new thread, which would be almost identical to this one.

Anyone who has dyno sheet comparisons would be helpful.

I would be curious to see how a set of longer 4-1 headers would compare to 4-2-1 in terms of power delivery.

If I was going to spend the money on good headers, I cant find a properly good set online for under $1000. Yet a decent exhaust shop basically quoted $200 a cylinder a while back. I know which route I would take.
