    Default What I need for a drift KE70?

    I will take a 4agte engine.
    Which suspension can I take? The same as AE86 or from Techno Toy Tuning?
    Which gearbox can I take? W55, w58 or T50?
    Which cardan shaft can I take from gearbox to the rear axle?
    Which rear Adel with LSD can I take for 300hp?
    Which Brake disc for 15 inch wheels can I take?

    Welcome and thank you for asking the questions.

    T50 = No good, it will break. Diff you should get a YR22 tarago one modified to fit your car.

    W58 = Very Good ( will not break, need a niteparts bellhousing to connect to 4age engine)

    Being in germany volvo diffs are quite strong and should be reasonably easy get over there? Unsure what model thougg

    I've got a hilux diff in 2 of my T18's but probably overkill with a 4age turbo.

    Ok and is it possible the Supra MK3 Diff to suit in a Corolla with the supra MK3 gearbox (NA)?

    I don't think so, I think the MK3 supras are the MA/GA/JZA70s which are independent rear suspension. If you have MK1 supras in Germany you can bolt that diff into a ke70 with some adapters from technotoytuning.com

    Hello.
    I suggest coilovers made from ra40 struts. This gives you a bigger lifespan of bearings and smoother high speed operation thanks to a big bearing.

    Use stock ra40 front brakes to begin with, as they are a good upgrade from ke70. Just overhaul them. Caliper bracket is removeable, so upgrades are not too hard to organise on ra40 strut.

    Use any shock you like, look at ae86 options from TRD, KYB etc or swap to dampers from other cars like SW20 MR2, AE92 Corolla, ST185-205 Celica. They are short stroke options.

    Most parts from ae86 floorpan will fit, except for the gearbox crossmember. Substitute freely.

    Use an aftermarket Bellhousing to connect w55/57/58 to 4age block. Niteparts, or there are others around, most people use the niteparts one.

    Tailshaft will be a custom hybrid of the front half that suits the tranny, and the rear half with the diff flange. I suggest taking these parts to a driveline shop and having them mated and balanced there. Use a 1 piece shaft if you are gong to lower the car a lot and align the gearbox and diff fairly well, otherwise stick with 2 piece.

    The diff could be anything really, its just a matter of picking one with a lot of what you need. Some people care about keeping the stud pattern original, others do not. You can get a diff from any car. Just pick one with hydraulically similar brakes to your original 19.6mm bore drum brakes and go from there. Look for something short enough to go into the car, so you can still run nice looking dished wheels and not widen the track unduly. Consider what is available as far as aftermarket centres for the diff you choose, as a stock LSD is good but wont take a thrashing like a Kaaz 2 way will long term.

    I use an F series toyota rear end, but Im looking around 200hp max with that and 230NM torque approx so it should last. It has a 7.5 inch crownwheel. It comes from a MX13-23 corona. Which is an odd six cylinder mid 70s Corona, designed to compete with the more powerful Nissans at the time.

    Toyota Diffs are highly reccomended. The MK 2 corona diff gives the right overall width ( well plus 6mm in truth) but its the closest you can get without shortening one from a Tarago, and the correct stud pattern. It fits Lexus altezza or MA61 LSD diff centres and gears as they are also F series. Usually IRS diffs can be gutted to put the centre in a live axle housing. A lot of people use 8 inch or larger E and G series diffs (commonly referred to as Hilux diffs). Some people lock them, some people look for 4wd type lsd options, others just use whatever stock lsd they come with.
