How much is a yr22 diff out by? Just about to purchase one for mine as need something to stand up to power. It was under my impression you just needed to reeled brackets on it then all sweet? Sorry to jump in on your thread.

A g series hilix diff would be nice. U dont want anything too massive depending on what sort of build your going for. But if you move away from certain diff models you may lose aftermarket support for 1.5way or aggressive 2way diff centers. And then you have studd patern so if you have wheels youd probably want to use them. Research carefully on the diff the axle and stub pattern and length. U dont want to pay extra to shorten a diff or whatever witchcraft they pull.
Try upgrading gearbox and diff at the same time so youbl only make 1 custom tailshaft.

Volvo 240 series diff. 1400 wide and comes standard with twin piston calipers. There are 2 different versions of the diff. The later one is a 7.6" ring and pinion and is the one you want. Being a Dana diff, there are multiple options for lsds. The only downside is it needs to be redrilled to 4x114.3. It has some silly 5x108 pattern or something.

Best diff is rn20 hilux, same width as stock. Don't cannibalise mk2 coronas! Fuck, they're heaps cooler than bloody ke70s..
W55/w58 box with hilux diff man, best way to go. Don't bother with LSD either, waste of money.
