Default Any noticeable difference in Braking Distance after MAZDA RX7 Caliper Upgrade??

    Hi People,

Is it really worth it to do a Mazda rx7 caliper swap on ke70 or ae86? Is the difference in (before & after) braking distance like "Night and Day"? or am i better off just rebuilding ae86 brakes and swapping them onto my Ke70?

    Please advise...

    Thanx.

    MAX

As Goeff said , street , even Hillclimb good ADM OR better JDM brakes and good set of tyres is going to be fine ---- not worth the bucks to change . But if you start doing track days , 6 hour relay races etc etc , then an upgrade is in order. The more HP you have , the bigger the brakes will need to be .

Well, i have a 1uz Ke70 build in the works... will be mainly a street fighter weekend car. Of late I've been reading about brake options, and people say good things about the RX7 caliper swap.

if you are putting a 1uz in the car then you will need rx7 brakes

the first stop doesnt matter so much,

it is the 10 after that that matter

I'd also invest in good tires, if you don't already have them.

Thanks guys. I think I'll go for it, with a set of some Potenza Adrenalin RE002s....and qfm pads. That should fetch massive stopping power.
