Default 5 stud setups, and independant rear?

So theres a fair chance that this has all been discussed before, but it cant hurt to ask as I couldn't find all that much..

So anyhow, I've had a 1uzfe motor sitting around for quite some time now, bolted to an r154 gearbox, and recently I managed to pick up a ae71 rolling shell super cheap and decided amongst my two other builds, "Hey why not build a budget missile".. So I picked up a mounting kit and have sourced most of everything else needed to sort the build out and get it done, however I'm stumped on the following..

A mate is wrecking his crown and has offered to throw me his F series diff and front hubs, so my questions are as follows..

How hard would it be to mod the front hubs to fit the ke70 setup?

I know I could just go about doing a s13 setup with 5 stud hubs, however the ke70's with s13 setups that ive driven in the past aren't all that special, and you cant really go wrong with XT130 Lca's, ae86 power steering knuckles and lock spacers..

Then how difficult would it be to mod the crown independant setup in as well?

If this independent setup is too difficult to make happen, ill give it a miss and look into something else..

Other than a hilux rear diff and 5 stud setup, what other options are available?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

the crown IRS would be shit in my opinion and not worth the effort

a tarago diff in a light car with small tyres will be plenty for a 1uz - its not 5 stud however

If you want a budget missile I wouldn't bother with IRS, but I would suggest using the whole rear end from an MX83 Cressida and narrowing the crossmember and driveshafts if you choose to go down that path.

Yeah fair call, I wasn't exactly sure how much effort it would be to convert it across.. Yeah dave I think ill go down that track or a hilux diff, I have a tarago setup in my other ke70, its brilliant for what it is, but the 5 stud is a necessity. 1uz s13 would be cool, however I wanted a UZKE, hence why im building one haha, as for the E30.. Flag that, they are super expensive on parts (coilovers etc etc)..

    It wouldn't be a missile..

Do some searching, before posting stupid topics.

Alrighty man, keep the negativity to a minimum hey?

Anyhow surpassingly enough I did do research, however I didn't come across a firm result.. Hence why I wanted to see what other people here did, if they'd done it at all.

All the good wheels are 4 stud. Why do you need 5?

Tarago diff as AJPS mentioned will be sweet. If you really want IRS, s13 works although it has a decent track increase. Can be shortened 15mm each side though. But then why have a corolla? Get a celica/supra/silvia etc.

S13 front is rubbish, I'm not sure what people do for a 5 stud front? Maybe try toymods? They are weird and do that stuff.

    stud adapters, solved.
get any cheap diff that suits your needs, dont worry about width its a track hack, run flares etc.
    speak to d1davey, he has a uz70.
then just work out what your doing with your front brakes. i'd say go s13 with the increased track matching the rear end
