Default 4age smallport ecu / map senor questions.

Hi everyone, just a few questions.

Ok so i'v just rebuilt a 4age smallport which was missing the ecu and map sensor. I have managed to get an ecu and map for it but noticed that the plug for the map is different to the one on the loom from the engine (see in photo) the grey plug is from the map and the black is on the loom. So just wondering if there is any differences in maps between car models that came out with the smallport and if anyone can tell me what the engine could be originally out of and also what the ecu and map came from? ecu part number is 89661 12420

I'm planning on putting this in my ae86 in the coming days/weeks so would be nice to know if the ecu will be all good with the engine, so any help will be much appreciated, thanks.

According to ToyoDIY (handy for this kind of stuff), that map sensor is only listed against toyota camry's with S series engines. It will almost certainly offer identical functionality, so long as you don't screw up the wiring.

MAP sensors generally only scale differently in forced induction motors.

EDIT: S series NOT F series

You should be able to swap the connectors without cutting any wires, you'll need a small flatblade to release the terminals

Ok cool, cheers for the info. So the other question is if the map is for the f series engines would that mean the same for the ecu? and would it run the ge engine fine?
Also note that the ecu had plugs and wires with it and the colours don't quite match up with those on the smallport loom.

If the ECU plugs fit its probably from a 4age out of a different car or something.

EDIT: oops, I read that page totally wrong. The map sensor is from the Camrys with S series engines.

Yeah plugs fit and yes it does say 4age on it haha so hopfully it should be all good. My brother will be doing all the wiring so getting it wired right shouldn't be a problem.
S series might be right coz i did get the map and ecu from my bro which he got a few engines and a bunch of parts from a guy and 2 of the engines were a beams and a 3sgte so maybe it goes with one of them? i'll have a look an see if there were any more maps but if not and you say they should all function the same then i guess we will just rewire it.
