Make your desires a reality Brenton!!!
very purdy, needs a ducktail or a roof wing or both?
i agree but not trd ducktail. it would look great with a jubiride wing
i know it looks extreme but the mcnsport one they made for the need for speed 86 would look awesome on it. they do sell them but they are not advertised
stroked 2L ca18-ae86 in the build...eta xmas 2012?
Skid pig grinds my gears
Ha ha thanks Jacob. I appreciate your censorship
Yeah I'm over body work. but a wing would be cool, wish i got an fpr hatch with a wing before i painted it
that mcn sport one would be hella sick, and I'd loveeeee a jubride wing, ive jist moulded in a dmax one to my frp hatch
So all was rosy in the world of Latte Lassi, I was going through tyres like a datto driver, loving the power life etc. Then last friday night practice I did about 100 runs, on the 101st run the car felt a bit down on power, I had just put brand new 595's on the back so I thought it was just more grip not less power and gave it a few more clutch kicks to compensate.
That was a terrible misjudgment as it actually was down on power and while pushing it hard through turn 6 oil sprayed all over my windscreen from the vents in my bonnet. I got off the power and checked oil pressure straight away, all good. I idled back to the pits and found the dip stick had ejected itself, I also found that the oil pressure fitting had come a bit loose and was leaking from there. I packed the car up thinking that the loose fitting may have caused the dip stick to pop out.
After that issue I re tightened the oil pressure fitting and got ready for Rad Times. As soon as I took the car off the trailer at QR I noticed it was blowing white smoke. drove around to the start area at short track and white smoke was everywhere. Did 2 runs and it made good power but still lots of white smoke. Then I came in to check stuff and I had an overflowing catch can. Emptied it and checked oil, still full so I assumed I had just overfilled the motor. Go back out for 2 more runs, come in again, oil everywhere and a full catch can. Repeat process, by now Im over the world so I wait for 20 mins, check oil and go out for 2 last runs. Threw the car at the wall like it aint no thang, pulled off 2 good runs then oil all over the windscreen again, dipstick popped up to say hello (no one likes you dip stick, stay down).
So I've ordered a leak down tester, Ill do that and see what needs doing. I think at best rings, at worst, rings, pistons and the block wont be happy.
Most of that's not from the tyres ^^^^
Sad Jase.
