Default efi pump in carbed application

I have a jdm ae86 which was running on mikuni carbs. Im guessing its still running an efi pump but the feed was Tee'd into the return line to bleed off pressure before going to the low pressure reg then into the carbs. Any oppinions? In the pic where i have blocked it off that line went to the reg before the carbsClick image for larger version.

Umm i am converting from carbs which ran perfectly at 4psi before like how i explained in the first post. I was asking if others also thought it must be an efi pump because it is Teed into the return line which is 1/4" which i would think would cause a restriction since the feed line is 5/16" and let the efi pump operate at 4psi. I dunno cos i havent pulled the tank out. Maybe it does have a low pressure pump in the tank but i dont have a reg and gauge.

I'd check the tank to make sure!

Well i powered up my fuel pump today with my aeromotive fuel reg and deatschwerks ev14 injectors which aparently work best with higher rail pressure and it went straight up to 50psi so i can confirm that an efi pump works in a carbed application if you are able to bleed off pressure through a return line
