    Default t18 tail shaft

    hi all, i have a t18 tail shaft that i want to put into my ae86 (running JDM box and diff) is there a way to tell if it is a series 1 or 2 tail shaft?

    There isn't a difference between series 1 or 2 tailshaft wise.

    There is a difference. Series 1 has 20 spline, series 2 has 22 Spline (same as AE86). Look at the end you'll insert into the gearbox and count the internal splines. Bang, there's your answer.

    Or you can just try jamming it into the box and see if it goes in (always a good ploy in my book).
