Default Ke70 starting problem, need help

Hello I have a 1984 ke70 with a 5k engine conversion with the 5 speed manuel gearbox, and am having some problems
Ok guys, I took the gearbox out of my car to reseal it, because it was leaking. So I pulled it out resealed in and have put it back in now. But when I turn the key to turn my car on, the engine will fire up, then 1 second later it just dies. It makes no sense,
Have any of you guys had similar problems, or have any solutions or just ideas to help me try fix it
And help would be greatly appreciate

Cooked ballast resistor? Typically the car will fire and run while you are turning the key then die once you let it go.

Thanks for the help, ended up working it out with some help from a friend, the engine just wasn't getting enough fuel, fixed it up by rigging up a fuel pump
