Checked all the timing in the cams. Still nothing. Any ideas? Will check fuel pressures, but it is getting fuel.
hi al,
changed the engine on my ae86 (used rebuilt long block)
put it all back in, fired up and the car wont rev at all and stalls
timing is ok
error code is 7 (TPS)
changed with an adm tps and no change
unplugging the tps make no difference
any ideas?

You need to find why it's setting the TPS circuit fault, Code 7 is indicating an open or short. Google "4AGE diagnosis manual".
See if u have 5v to the tps. Ecus can burn out and drop the 5v from time to time.
Plus wiring at the plugs can fray etc.

Will try when I go home. Which one should have the 5v. The top one?
If you can't sort it quickly, give me a week and i'll come visit to have a look at a few things

The bottom pin will have the 5V reference voltage
2nd from the bottom is the signal which is between .1 and 4.5V depending on throttle angle
Thanks heaps guys will try
