Hey Guys,
Recently acquired a 1986 AE86 Kouki Trueno.
Forgive my ignorance, I have always loved AE86's and know a bit but not a guru, however I am a guru on the early K series Corollas.
My AE86 has a T-series differential running factory disc brakes and LSD (unknown but most likely factory LSD?)
Now the differential is making some grinding noise combined with a bit of whining. So im going to do a diff oil change and bearing change
Now ive done a bit of searching and found a couple of threads:
My question is, how are my chances of finding rear wheel axle bearing's in Australia keeping in mind it is a JDM diff. Apparently they are different to other T-series diffs and obviously different to ADM AE86 as they have S-series diffs
Also what about the bearings in the diff head?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Tally

Take it to a diff shp to diagnose it, because I had a wierd grindy noise and it turned out Id lost 2 teeth rom the pinion while racing someone.
BTW all the bearings are aailable in australia from bearing shops. I never had to shop around, I always insisted they get koyo in for me. You can just go down there with your old ones and they will match em, smae as anything else. The head bearings are also on ebay.
Thanks Matt greatly appreciated! Taking it to a diff place today infact. See how we go...

Thats why ebay is cheaper unless you need them next day. I paid 90 a side in aussie and bought 2 full sets for 2 full diffs, plus freight from melbourne or something for koyos.
ended up calling another CBC bearing store and managed to get them for $204 both sides![]()
