I'm running 268's on a stock ecu if that helps you any. It idles lumpy, but is otherwise fine.
I have a race coming up. my head is ported and polished and ready to go. But i am running out of time to get a aftermarket ecu and tuning done.
Can i run it on oem ecu??
i know it would idle like a pig.. I dont care.
I'll idle at 2500 rpm if i have to.
as long as it makes a bit better power where it counts??
please help i want to know before i go doing something stupid.. like will it lean out and blow up?

It will be OK, but it is really on the limit of what the stock ECU can handle.
That being said I have seen plenty of people running them on a stock ECU.
Depends on the profile itself rather than the total duration, my cams are 290 degree's total and 8.4mm lift and run fine on the standard MAP computer.
let us know how u go in your class

Took out first at Gatton sprints on street tyres with bouncing front shocks and dud brakes. Have race tyres, new shocks, hd swaybar big brakes and hopefully a few more ponies with the head and cams.. Hoping for another first![]()
Haha, well done.
Yeah, nice work. I run TRD 272 7.5mm in mine and is daily driven on stock ecu. Rough and fun.
