I'm struggling to come to terms with this decision but I really gotta move the Rolla on.
I tried to sell a few weeks ago , but just couldn't hand the keys over after putting so much effort into it.
i think I'm ready but now, so here goes
Car is not that heavily modified was my daily for 5 years
84 Ae71 csx manual 280000km on clean shell( took me 4 yes to find one) rego till around October I think
Bigport head small port bottom end. Reliable as( smokes tiny bit with thin oil in. )
Twin dellorto carbs really nice carbs, rebuilt 18 months ago
modified 4k dizzy fitted with new Bosch ex reg
Nice headers + 50 mm trumpets
Jdm struts (8kg elibach coilovers) jdm brakes, ps arms , xt130 control arms, superpro bushes etc, cusco tops.
Front strut brace removed atmRear end is pretty standard still open diff, standard arms . Softish cut springs
2year old Ae86 radiator, ae92 thermo on switch- no leaks
ae86 steering wheel , trd gearnob , clean interior . Drivers seat collapsed but hugs my ass ssweet
very minimal rust, pretty sweet original paint . One door clear coat is not the best but never worried me.
comes on 14 by 7 hotwires. Tyres probably just legal but getting old
Other small mods I'd say I've forgotten.
Car has only let me down once 2 years ago, when the ignition module died, has been sorted with quality Bosch parts now. Has a few small issues like cusco tops are getting old can feel freeplay on horrible roads ( paramatta rd) , could use new rack bushes one day too.
its done about 2 skids ever as its open, but this would spin 3rd all day if setup right.
Done a 15.50 at wsid when I tested it .from what ive seen thats on par with most 20v e7s so goes really good.
Looks tuff and sounds Really Angry .
With small amount of effort this car could be one of the best ae71
Engine bay hasent been cleaned for a few years on purpose to make look old n original( kinda works never been raped by popo. Current Engine number on rego papers .
