(SA) 18RG Twin Cam RA40 series 2 coupe
Hi guys, i bought this recently with the intentions of doing it up a little and just cruising about, but circumstances have changed for me so this has to go. The conversion was originaly done by Brenton down at Fours n More at Pooraka back when it was his car years ago, so the car is properly registered with the 18RG engine number When i spoke to him about it he said the motor was given a freshen up, but nothing crazy was done. It is fitted with twin 40mm Webber carbs with velocity stacks and brand new air filters as well as nice set of headers and full exhaust. The owner before me has fitted a catalitic converter in the system to get it past an emisions check at regency about 12 months ago. The car also retains its air con which works nicely.
It has had most of the suspension and steering freshened up with King springs and Nolathane bushes throughout and a wheel alignment done just last week. It also has a recently re-built W55 gearbox (with reciepts). New brake pads and fluid are backed up by a re-sleeved (last week) brake master cylinder so it stops reasonably well (for a 30 year old car). The interior is a fairly good shape except for the top of the back seat. It is also fitted with a full stereo with Rockford fosgate sub and amp, six inch speakers in the doors and Alpine 6x9's in the parcel shelf with a JVC headunit. All of the interior electrics are working. I also replaced all of the headlight globes with new ones and polished the lenses, so these work really well now.
The body is 99% straight with a few small patches of surface rust starting to appear and some clear coat starting to peel on the roof.
It has a little over three months rego left on it and will be sold with the BB plates. Im loosing out selling it this soon after all the little bits and pieces that ive fixed up on it, but thats the way things go. Asking price is $4000 ono and it is located in Adelaide NE suburbs.
