Default Is this a normal level of sound when gently releasing the brake pedal?

My wife just mentioned to me that she thinks her brakes make an abnormal amount of sound when you slowly release the brake pedal, either in reverse or drive.

I followed her out and took a quick video of her leaving in the garage.

It does seem to make a grinding/clicking type noise when she slowly lets off of the brakes. So when she's backing out of the garage or a parking spot or even inching forward in traffic it seems to make this noise. I know a certain amount of this kind of sound is "normal" to an extent... but does this seem excessive?

The best capture of the sound is right at the very beginning of the video below. The subsequent sounds of her stopping are NOT as bad as it usually sounds for her.My wife just mentioned to me that she thinks her brakes make an abnormal amount of sound when you slowly release the brake pedal, either in reverse or drive.

You forgot to include the video...

Scraping / Grinding noises usually means the brake pads need replacing as the friction material has worn through.
