What on earth is this thing on my 4age?

Hi guys, I've been asking a few questions trying to get my new car in order. Thanks for your help!

Obviously it's been installed aftermarket. It has a metal throttle cable looking thing running from near the throttle body (not connected to anything at the moment, circled in red) and some wires that disappear into the firewall. It also looks like it has a vaccume tube running somewhere but I couldn't trace it.



What is it, and can I safely remove it?

Get rid of all that stuff.

Never seen cruise control on these before... probably an aftermarket installation.

how much long distance driving do you do? might be worth seeing if you can get it to work.

yes it's an aftermarket cruise control and the dofus who installed it shouldn't of put it next to the exhaust manifold. You can remove it without issue.
