electric issues

hi all,
got a 180sx, and when i put the widows up the radio cuts out and the car almost stalls at idle. Sometimes when i drive and brake the radio also plays up. Got a near new battery. car stats up fine every morning so dont really think its the battery or alternator. i know its not an 86, but any advice is much appreciated

Loose connection, probably an earth. How good is the radio install?

It was a decent install. I soldered the ends and heat shrinked over it. It's strange it also plays up with the power windows active. And if the brakes cause it, the hand brake doesn't

I'd be checking the earths are tight. see if you can find a body wiring diagram to find the earthing points without having to remove the dash.

Definitely sounds like voltage feedback.
