ive been looking at that one but id prefer an origional colour. Not rating blue atm
so i made some great progress yesterday and today. Even though i have workshop access to straighten cars jut goes to show that you dont need the best equiptment to gain the same result, although it it easier.
Put the front panels on and lined up the rad support and headlights, turned out well. the front bar is a bit second hand after the accident
the whole front is welded on just need a little primer in the engine bay. tomorrow will start repairing the panels!!

    wow...

also I was wondering who had posted that picture up on Steve's FB post about his failed attempt at straightening his car. Suppose it makes sense now that I know!

Today consited of about 2 hours of pressure washing, i cleaned the entire car (yes inside and out)
one major reason rust develops is the build up of dust and leaves and crap in crevices which retains moisture
which seeps into seams and rusts steel. there was alot of dust and mud in the wheel arches and sill panels and
in the bottom of the doors. i degreased the underside of the bonnet and the engine bay and prepped it for paint
(scrubbed it with a scotchbrite and degreaser).
i sprayed the carpets and seats with upholstery cleaner and got into them with the presure washer and they
came up like brand new realy happy with that! one reason i bought this car is the good condition of the interior
    (uncracked dash and the likes)
Last thing today i pulled the windscreen out!

finished stripping the bits off the shell ready for paint.
had to paint strip the bonnet and rhf guard as the paint was thick and fked.
the lhf guard only had a few minor dents. So the guards bonnet and tailgate are
prepped ready to prime. WIll start with the doors tomorrow as they only have a little
work just small dents. then comes the body and rust repair

Today spent all day cutting welding and grinding rust. i got rid of the seams in the back panel as they were rusted and they always rust.
Tomorrow will pick up the paint first thing and a new windscreen.
