took the head off today to ensure things are all good on the inside.......they are

switched the headgasket from the HKS item to the stock toyota one.....the comp is already low enough enough on this engine, i dont need large amounts of metal between the head and block making it worse.

here is a comparison between the two: HKS

    And stock toyota:

Tomorrow the cusco front end is coming OUT, and being replaced with all stock items. This is because i need to get the car onto a trailer for some special jobs and its proving to be difficult getting someone to fab a replacement castor arm for my formula link setup.

So by tomorrow arvo the car should be on the wheels, there will still need to have somethings sorted, but that will get done when its at its new temporary home.......

So anyways, head is all bolted on and cams re-installed. Just have to go to work and borrow the mini torque wrench to tighten the cam caps and then that all is done.

then i got to fitting these things:

here is the comparison between the RWD and FWD water necks.

Im pleased to say im running a FULL RWD cooling setup now, so nice and neat. Also good that you can still get the parts and gaskets new......

haha thanks for the comments guys, good to see all the guys that know me know how epic this actually is. Sooooooooooooooo without further delay:

First time in 3 years the car has sat on its own wheels un assisted.......

    Some things to note:
    - stock ae86 LCA, castor rod
    - camber top is set at 0
    - there is a 10mm slip on
    - the coilover only has about another 15mm before it bottoms out (im not sure, i hope this is going to be ok for me)

The rear is still WAAAAAAY high.........I need to cut the spring to suit the height (they are new 4.5kg springs).

Steering rack is in and done, lock spacer, new tie rods and on car adjustable ends, new boots, and super pro rack mounts.

There is no suspension in the RHS of the car, but the car is sitting level. I am missing my steering arm (i dont know how) but i have a heap of PS arms coming.

    Im back baby

(it will be pushed out and washed in the coming days, its actually a real clean, straight car under all that shit)
