Double check the bolt pattern on the diff end, I think that's the difference from memory.

Ladies and gents,
I'm trying to identify a tailshaft, there's a story. I have a KE70 in the middle of a 4AGE conversion, I have all the bits to use the borgy to begin with, so that's all sweet. But in my parts acquiring I picked up a T series back half for a T diff upgrade some time in the distant future. The girl I bought it from said it was from a T18, I had no reason to doubt here, the car was right there being wrecked. Fast forward a couple of years (yikes!) and I've just picked up an S tailshaft from an ADM sprinter. Once again, the car that it came from was there in front of me when I bought it, it had had a T diff upgrade. Getting them home and matching them up, the back halves seem to be exactly the same. There is a slight difference in thickness of the flange, with the "T18" being narrower, but not enough to make a difference. Both back sections seem to measure around 750mm.
Anyone have any idea if I've just wasted my money? Are there any other identifying features. Before anyone says just mount it up, I don't have a T diff yet, so that wouldn't help. I do have an AE71 shaft knocking about, I'd be guessing that's supposed to be 20mm shorter?
Cheers
Mike

SR's are ghey.
Looks the same to me.
I put it along side my AE71 tail shaft the other night and it was definitely shorter, by around 10-15mm, so hopefully I'm on a winner and have a spare...
