    Default Help replacing headlight bulb

Hi guys, I've had a search around the place and all I can seem to find is a guide on replacing the Trueno headlights.

I have a Levin AE86 and one of the headlight bulbs has blown, which I would like to replace myself. I'm pretty green when it comes to being mechanically minded, but this seems like an easy enough job. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to achieve this, or even a link to a guide online?

I assume it's just as simple as - disconnect the cable (power), twist and remove the bulb and replace with the same part number as was removed?

Thanks in advance for nay help.

Close, pull off the three pronged plug gently, there is a rubber grommet behind the bulb you need to pull off. Then there is a bent wire holding in the h4 bulb, you need to unhook it and swing it away, remove the bulb. It has three locating tabs and when refitting have a look as to where the new one goes.
Then just reverse the steps to re assemble.
Take out the battery and have a good look, it'll make sense

Great, thanks for the advice! The blown bulb is actually on the otherside of the battery, so there's no need to remove it thankfully.

That being said, should I be disconnecting the negative terminal when working on the headlight assembly?

    Thanks again!
