Both of these companies I've only ever heard good things about
After many years of hard use, the clutch in my Group A race car has finally worn out.
It is an original 1986 TRD AP Racing set up using a single 3 puk solid centre metal ceramic 7.25" (184mm) disc with high clamp 900lb pressure plate on a very light billet flywheel machined to suit the 7.25" AP disc.
On removal, the clutch plate is shot, the surface plate in the AP is shot and the flywheel needs machining if it has anything left in it. As you can guess these are no longer available.
With so much advancement in materials and options for this type of set up this side of the year 2000, I would be happy to buy a complete flywheel/clutch kit and I want to know what works best. Looking on line, there are various set ups from $400 to $1500 and no way of knowing what would work best and last.
What advice can you guys offer from experience in high end race cars?
The 4AGE NA engine produces 205hp at the flywheel reving to 9,200rpm followed by a T50 Close ratio Quaife dog box with solid spool diff, so the clutch cops a fair amount of abuse.

Hi Chris,
My clutch was made out of a dual plate 7.25 AP setup back then.
You should be able to get the clutch plate fitted with new pucks and just use a modern AP outer ring and pressure plate if needed.

Might be worth giving Jim Berry clutches a call in qld. They have done allot of high profile cars over the years.
