    Default AE92 Smallport > RWD ADM 86 Water lines

    Hey guys, there is so much different information on the internet about the cooling setups for 4age, it's genuinely confused the shit out of me.

    Using a Ae92 smallport 4age, going into ADM Ae86. These are the cooling lines I have, can someone confirm as to what needs to happen or if this photo of a 4agze setup is exactly what I should do.

    Rear outlet;

    The main lines;

    Is this the setup that I should copy exactly?

    Going clockwise from the small hose cut off very short on the far left:
    1 - Small hose cut short - Return from heater tap.
    2 - Long skinny hose - Radiator bypass when thermostat is closed. Connects to 5.
    3 - Flange on end of pipe - Main supply to water pump. Bolt to back of pump.
    4 - Fat hose cut short - Water outlet from head. Goes to top of radiator.
    5 - Long skinny pipe - Radiator bypass when thermostat is closed. Connect to 2.

    You'll have to mount the remote thermostat housing somewhere convenient and modify the length and shape of the pipes and hoses to suit. It's not that hard to understand, but just a bit tricky to make it all neat.

    That pic is good except for the heater bypass, never do that, block it instead.

    I should be able to offer a neat solution in only a few weeks time if you're interested. It's indended for a 20V but I see no reason why it can't be used on a 16V as well if you trim that water pump pipe down much like in the photo.

    The final product would be CNC machined but here is the prototype that's rougher because it's hand made by me:

    For you the barb out the top would likely be a 90 degree elbow instead which would join to your top water outlet, the one on the left is for your heater. I have planned to get these barbs silver plated as well because as Jonny here has rightly said they don't look like an OEM part when it's raw brass, even if they are mostly hidden in normal use.
