Default Repairing Rear Quarter Panel Help

    Hey Guys,
So im about fix up my rear quarter panels on my AE86 and i wanted to get some feedback/ideas on how to fix it

So these are my rear quarter panels:
Right side is crumpled, and has had holes drilled in it, to mount a fiberglass over fender (all previous owner)

Left side only has the drill holes

So basically i cant weld and dont own a welder so anything welding related is out.

The crumpled part cant be hammered out anymore, so i will fix whats left of the damage with bog, but its the drill holes that im not sure what to do with? I was thinking, counter-sinking all the holes then solder really fine chicken wire over them, then use bog over the top of that?

I know alot of people are against bog, but i dont have alot of money and just want to be able to get my car on the road so i dont care.

any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Steve

First off you will defiantly need to seal the steel with something like POR15. With the holes in the panels lightly tap in with a hammer and wipe over with a small amount of " need it" (epoxy steel substitute).
The last thing you want is all the filler falling off, cause there will be many hours spent shaping the filler to get it looking any good. There may be areas with an inch or so thick with bog. Your not the first person to load up a panel with bog to make it look original. It's all about the prep.

Its a durable rust resistant paint from the US. In Aus you can get stuff called KBS which is pretty much the same thing, and cheaper (but still great quality). Jb weld is like bog but its mostly metal.. you could try that for the holes

I would try to solder or braise the holes up rather than bog them up.
You can get a blowtorch from bunnings that is more than capable of heating up the metal enough to get the solder or braising rods flowing

Alternatively you could try to tap the holes with a hammer just enough to lower them and fill them with steel pop rivets then bog over the top to smooth them out

Single sided spot welder will prob be the easiest way to fill in those holes, you can use a mig with a bit of aluminimum behind it, but you'll have allot more grinding to do.

The dent itself will take time with spoons / dollies and that. Use black spray paint to give you a line to work towards.
