I looked at that car as it was in Melbourne a few weeks ago and i have to say if it was actually a mint Trueno GT-Apex it might be worth it, but as it is a Levin converted to look like a Trueno in my opinion it's not. It does have the digital dash and the automatic air conditioning though. It's missing a lot of functionality like pop up headlights that you know go up and down, the fact that the Levin headlight switch hasn't been replaced with the Trueno one has something to do with that and it still has the Levin dash surround. It has electric mirrors installed but no wiring to connect them up to power or the switch and the absence of power windows somewhat gives away the fact that it's not really a GT-Apex. It's missing the front grille and also the trim that the driver's side seat belt goes through and the tops of back seats are all cracked. From the build plate the model code is AE86-ECMVF with T50, the diff is T282 (so no LSD), colour is 2T6 and trim is FP32. The body is in good nick and would be worth getting for the right price but $15800 is not that price.

Be patient mate.... I waited years for the right 86 to come up. Picked up one early this year.... My last one was back in 08..... I went 7 years without an ae86.

I reckon any 86 without rust is worth it! you can race rust but you will never win! and like McLevin said all that other stuff easily fixed!
