worked as a support phone jocky at an ISP for a couple of years. People need to do a test before signing up I think, there are a lot of ppl that do not diserve the internet.
Almost all of calls could have been fixed if they RTFM. Most of the people that called needed to be shot in the head. The number of people that cancelled there phone line that their internet used is astounding.
me : you cancelled your phone line???(after 20 mins of trobleshooting)
them : "we dont use the phone, just the internet, you have to fix my internet now! I'm loosing $80billion an hour"
Me : 'so what does your modem plug into',
Them : "the phone line....oh I see...can you fix it?
Me : No, call telstra, click.

sometimes so CBF and said "netbank is working fine for me, it must be Netbanks fault" call them!"
...so yeah, hated that job, plus all the "supervisors" are gay in the pants brown nosers.
