Scored a goodie I've been searching awhile for today! I also picked up a GTS gas tank, lines, sending unit & pump for a sweet price!!! ( Tired of the bogG during hard corner & low fuel level =( )

Not Officially mounted just a tease-tester!

As for the car she broke down AGAIN! timing belt snapped, so it's out with the power steering, in with the manual. Out with the old pulley, in with the new pass single row pulleys I hope.

Nothing special I just began clean up of the GTS tank! Getting ready to install the tank and lines soon. I recently realize my gtsr5 had the sr5 tank when the car would bog around corners. With my future plans in motion, I must prepare for the performance to come . No more bogging around medium corners =)

We'll I haven't updated this thread in some time now, all the commotion of it may be spread throughout different forums, maybe not. Here's some background facts. A few weeks back I got a valve adjustment. Shortly after that the t-belt chewed itself up, yes that means my car is down again. =(

While the car was down I decided to replace the key components related to the gear side, as well as the wearing acc. belts. New Belt, tesioner, Spring. Keep in mind I bought the car w/ the conversion already done, and sourcing belts sucks. What through me off is that my car has a 4-rib P/S pulley..GZE?, and the parts department kept saying it should be 5 and I was explaining I had 4, back & forth back & forth.

On top of that my crank pulley was broken on the crank end when I removed it... ( and my sled began to pick up speed downhill ) Frustrated and bummed I began searching for a used crank pulley. That didn't get to far, folks wanted 50+ dollars for them plus s/h or about $20-30 in gas & time if I picked one up. In reality it may be more costly to me but it made sense to buy a new one from NST for $30-40 more. Upon making that decision I ordered the NST 16v, single row crank kit. No more p/s, one less problem in the long run!

Accompanied by that action was the purchase/order of a Rebuilt Manual Rack $143.00, T3 Mani-powr bushing $32.00, MK3 Shaft, Mr2 U-joint $70.00, those prices are the items shipped to me via paypal in USD.

Here's what the removed pulley looked like

    The belts chewed

    P/S

While I had some down time, being the refurbish king I decided to clean some items up along the way. Just some before & afters of random things.

My cam gear, cleaned, prepped, painted.

    Base coat

    Painted

    Semi finished

    Anit-Corrosion/ friction coating

Took some advice from the tuner who had adjusted my valves, and I got the belt and gear covers

Began customizing my gear cover(s)- Literally Hard as Hell to do. Definitely enjoying the aftermath

Ok so I got a hold of the Rack n Pinion warehouse, to find out where the heck my rack is that I ordered on FEB 28th. and they had no record of my purchase...???? after 8 back & forth calls we were able to locate it, turns out the wknd. employee goofed and the sucky part is he only works wknds. so the manager can't even ask him what happened until this wknd. LOL!

Either way we got it straightened out and I should have my rack shortly.

Since I'm deleting P/S some of you may know I ordered the single row NST pulley set

I wasn't really looking for manual brackets so I bought the T3 power-manual bushing from Gabe.

I also laid some paint on my timing covers, why? plain-jane's not me! I do as I wish not what the ppl. want hehe ( I have a replacement lower portion on the way, the crack looks ugly although you wont be able to see it. )

..................... more updates later this wk. I'm waiting on my AE manual rack, Mk3 shaft, & Mr2 U-joint to arrive, I hope it's here by friday so I can have it altogether for sat!

Hello, everyone. Here's som updates from today at work.

I decided to wip out my wire wheel & do a quick surface scale removal on my cam bolts

Then I snugged the gears on

    Installed the NST H20 pulley
    NST vs. OEM

then I wrapped things up for the day w/ the Alt. pulley install as well. I'm waiting on the ring behind the crank pulley, and the timing cover gaskets to arrive to finish this aspect of the update. Then I'll attack the P/S system, once those parts all get here.

Thank you sir...one day I hope the exterior too will accentuate my need to make things new

Installed my timing belt today..... I also took oldskweltoys' advaice from another thread and removed the tensioner spring after adjustment was complete.

    .........when I arrived home my MK3 I.S was here along w/ my MR2 U-joint, awaiting the R'N'P!
