You're tripping balls man. I work as a Water Filtration Plant Operator and as a part of my job we have to monitor Clarrie Hall Dam (supplies Tweed Shire, Far NE NSW) and the surrounding catchment. The spill way has had water running over it for a good 12 months now - meaning the dam's level has been at 100% for quite some time. Yep the Murray is pretty well fucked but that's not to say the rest of Aus is.

your local dam is practially costal meaning it will be getting decent rain. the coast always has.

much of australias food is produced from farms surrounding the murray-darling system. 42% of australias farmland is surrounding the basin.

this sytem is a very long way away from you. just because locally you have water doesnt change the fact that water in the murray-darling is scarce.

last year along over 11 billion dollars was spent to try and re-regulate the water there so the farms could continue production.

i would say theres a big problem if the government is spending that much cash on trying to fix it

got my first credit card today. that pretty much means i could have my ae86 finished now if i cbf working on it.

id rather not buy everything i need now however but just save my cash and get it done over the next few months. i could afford it that way too.



on a side note theres all these baby huntsmans crawling all over my computer room. theyre everywhere! they crawl all over me too. im not scared of spiders at the least, theyre just anoying having to brush them off all the time. ive brushed like 5 off wiriting this post so far.

i kill some every now and again thinking that thatll be one less ill have to sweep off myself later BUT then i think its brothers and sisters are watching me kill their siblings and think one day theyll try and get some revenge
